The Agency has a need for General Counsel representation at all regular and special meetings as well as legal consultation and representation on projects not otherwise awarded to special counsel. These projects typically entail smaller projects that might involve eminent domain proceedings and redevelopment under the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law. Responsibilities would also include coordination with special counsel on larger projects and familiarity with these projects. This RFP covers the time period January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The following services are anticipated through this Request for Proposals: Attendance at all regular and special meetings of the Passaic Redevelopment Agency. Generally, the regular meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of every month. Advice regarding proceedings regarding the Open Public Meetings Act, the Open Public Records Act, and all administrative functions of a public agency. Advice regarding compliance with the Local Redevelopment and Housing Law. Project advice and representation on all routine matters related to project implementation. Litigation as needed.
