The Commission is seeking to have all (5) bridges inspected to stay in compliance with the Federal Regulations (Title 23, Part 650, Subpart C – National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS)) and NJDOT requirements requiring updated SI&A data for Routine Inspections/Hands On Inspection, Non-Redundant Steel Tension Member (NSTM) Inspections, Interim Inspections, Under Water Inspections, bridge modifications, or element condition changes warranting updated load ratings and possible load posting changes. Inspections shall include deck, underdeck, superstructure, and substructure (above & below the waterline) portions of the bridges and include verification & updating National Bridge Element (NBE) data. Additionally, the Consultant shall be required to review/update/edit and code all new data in accordance with 2022 Specifications for the National Bridge Inventory (SNBI). The NJDOT will pre-populate the SNBI data by converting the 1995 Coding Guide data to the 2022 SNBI data using FHWA Transition Tool. However, it is not an all-inclusive conversion.
