Professional engineering services required for the design of superstructure steel repairs, replacement of bridge bearings, and fatigue repairs to Str. No. 120.46 and other related work • The Successful Qualified Firm shall develop repair strategies to address the structural deficiencies of the bridge structure. The Successful Qualified Firm shall anticipate performing a thorough review of the latest bridge load ratings and including any repairs or strengthening needed to ensure all legal load rating factors meet or exceed a value of 1.00. Furthermore, the Successful Qualified Firm shall anticipate repairing or replacing members with advanced section loss. • Staging, Demolition and Disposal Operations - The Successful Qualified Firm shall evaluate allowable equipment means and methods for bridge element removal operations to eliminate those which may damage the existing superstructure steel to remain. The contract drawings shall identify all project areas where provisions for noise and dust control are required, as well as staging areas for equipment, storage and disposal of materials. Methods and locations for disposal of removed materials and debris shall be included in the contract drawings and specifications.
