• Perform initial inspection of emergency major or minor bridge condition. • Provide recommendation regarding road closure or load reduction at bridge to Camden County Engineer. • Review of available Camden County bridge plans, load rating reports documents, structural inspection reports, or any other documents available. • Preparation of emergency detour plans if emergency conditions require closure of County Road. • Preparation of preliminary design alternatives to address emergency condition. • Preparation of preliminary cost estimate for major or minor bridge repairs necessary for Camden County to encumber funding in the County budget. • Preparation of design sketches or plans of emergency repair. • Review of emergency quotes from contractor(s). • Preparation of plans and specifications for County bid process if emergency construction cannot be procured through quotes. • Preparation of field modification design sketches during construction. • Review of submittals during construction. • Field Inspection oversight during construction. • Review and recommendation of contractor pay estimates. • Preparation of construction punch list. • Preparation of any NJDEP permits required for emergency repair. (Note: NJDEP Fee to be paid directly by Consultant and reimbursed) • Maintain communication with Camden County and contractor during emergency repair. • Attend meetings with Camden County officials, municipal officials, municipal Police Department(s), municipal or County OEM officials, railroad companies, and other stakeholders as necessary. • Preparation of As-Built Plans to document emergency repair, provided in digital and print format.
