Franklin welcomes competition and any brand names are provided solely for the purpose if indicating a minimum standard. Vendors should indicate any variation from the specifications and effect those deviations would have on the performance of the equipment. An acceptable make and model would be the Ford F450 DRW with a 16’ duramag smooth side landscape body. This reference or any other brand name reference is solely for the purpose of stating an acceptable minimum standard. 1. CAB/CHASSIS minimum requirements a. Four (4) wheel drive, Dual rear wheels new and unused with 193.3” wheelbase b. Single fuel tank Capacity – 40 gallons approximate. To be located between frame rails mid ship. Fuel tanks located aft the rear axle will not be accepted and bid will be automatically rejected. c. Skid plates are aluminum front underbody frame mounted shield starting from behind front bumper and running to 1st cross member, oil pan, differential case and steel transfer case frame mounted shields d.
