Specifications include, but are not limited to: This contract is for the procurement of security officer services for the nonpublic schools of Lakewood, NJ. At present there are one hundred fifteen (115) nonpublic schools in Lakewood. Each school follows its own particular school calendar and its own daily starting and ending time. Hours of Service; After School and Evening Events--Overtime There may be requests from the individual schools to request security officer services for after school and evening events directly related to a school activity and event. If this is the case, the security officer will be paid an overtime hourly rate of one and one-half times the standard hourly rate for any service provided after eight (8) hours of work. There are occasions when the Nonpublic Schools operate during legal holidays. If security officer services are required during these days he/she will be paid an overtime hourly rate of one and one-half times the standard hourly rate. Number of Security Officers The Lakewood Board of Education, pursuant to the Nonpublic Security Program Law, has provided a certain allocation of monies to each nonpublic school for security services. Some schools have chosen to spend funds for security equipment and for security officer services. At the present time the Board is unable to ascertain the number of security personnel needed, where they are needed and what type of officer is needed. Therefore, the Board is asking that all bidders provide an hourly bid price for one security officer and also provide the number of officers the company will make available to the nonpublic schools. The company must be able to provide a minimum of ten (10) Full Time Employee Hours per day. The Nonpublic school must allow the awarded contractor a maximum of 30 days to fulfill their schools’ staffing needs.
