The Township is interested in seeking a professional Mechanical Engineering firm to render those services as necessary and as associated with the position of Municipal Mechanical Engineer. The Respondent’s role and responsibilities are as follows: As required by the Township Administrator or as authorized by the governing body, prepare such mechanical engineering analyses, reports, surveys, designs, plans, specifications, applicable permit applications, cost estimates, and construction administration for various projects which may include the following: Imagining and implementing programs and devices that improve municipal operations and facilities; Design, development and review of municipal facility electronic components; Environmental / Energy Conservation services; Parks and Recreation Facilities renewable energy conservation upgrades and development; Senior Center Facilities renewable energy conservation upgrades and development; Public Works Facilities renewable energy conservation upgrades and development; Capital Project Planning, Design, and Construction Administration; Bidding Services; Assist with permitting requirements; Other Mechanical Engineering related projects; Prepare and submit grant/loan applications if applicable; Evaluation of project alternatives; Preparation of feasibility studies; Any other developmental projects that may arise in the future; Provide mechanical engineering advice, assistance and services to the Governing Body, Staff, and all Departments, Committees, Boards and Agencies of the Township of North Brunswick, as requested and authorized. Attend such meetings as requested by the governing body and/or the Township Administrator and be available on a twenty-four-hour basis for emergency situation response. Prepare and submit grant/loan applications for those projects as may be funded by Federal, State and/or County governmental agencies if applicable. Perform all other Mechanical Engineering services that the Governing Body and/or Administrator may determine as necessary for the Township's needs.
