A. The Design Professional shall provide comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consulting services on an as needed basis in support of University projects. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Building Systems Development and Coordination a. The Design Professional in conjunction with the University’s Facilities Planning and Construction representatives and end user groups will develop, review, modify, and validate the building systems to ensure functionality, code compliance, energy efficiency, and alignment with University standards 2. Design and Documentation a. The Design Professional shall provide a comprehensive set of Construction Documents and Specifications that fully describe the fit, placement, shape, size, materials, and systems of the building. b. The design and documentation process shall include the following phases: • Schematic Design (SD) • Design Development (DD) • Construction Documents (CD) • Bidding and Award • Permitting Sets • Conformed Sets
