For the purpose of undertaking negotiations of uniformed and non-uniformed collective bargaining units within the Township of Hillsborough and to provide advice and assistance concerning various labor matters and issues to the Township of Hillsborough, the Township Administrator and the Township Committee, as well as all litigation/quasi-litigation before Federal and State courts, Public Employee Relations Commission, and other Federal/State agencies. The following are the minimum threshold requirements that will be utilized in the solicitation of persons and/or firms to be considered for the above: 1. Admission to the New Jersey Bar for a minimum of ten (10) years. 2. Has a concentrated law practice in the field of State and Federal Labor Law for a minimum of ten (10) years. 3. Can demonstrate experience and representation of governmental entities in all labor-related matters, including negotiations for at least five (5) years. 4. Has a minimum of five (5) years of experience in appearing before the Public Employee Relations Commission and the Office of Administrative Law and Superior Court in labor matters. 5. Designation of the specific attorney that will handle matters for the Township and any permanent change in that designation requires 30 days advance notice. The Township reserves the right to terminate the contract if the Township deems the change in designation is not in the Township’s best interest.
