Specifications include, but are not limited to: Description and Product Formulation:Bidders shall supply brand name and manufacture's name of the liquid MagnesiumChloride and the liquid organic based performance enhancer (OBPE), sufficient to allowthe finished material to meet the specific requirements and performance criteria listed inthis specification.This product shall be used to enhance the performance of pre-treated salt to allow for betterperformance at lower temperatures as well as to reduce bounce and scatter during saltspreading on the roadway surface. The liquid treatment is also intended to enhance theperformance of the regular rock salt over untreated salt by reducing corrosiveness,improving low temperature performance, reducing bounce and scatter, preventingclumping and salt pile freezing, and enhancing flow ability. The treated salt is intended tobe used to facilitate snow and ice prevention and removal on New Jersey TurnpikeAuthority roads and bridges.Bids shall not be accepted on any product that contains constituents in excess of thefollowing established total concentration limits. If product exceeds any of the followingconstituents then the bidder shall identify the exceptions and explain any mitigatingcircumstances.
