The selected law firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal services, including but not limited to: • Evaluation of factual and legal claims related to the water intake system • Review and analysis of engineering plans, specifications, contracts, submittals, and construction records • Legal analysis of claims including: o Professional negligence o Design defect o Construction defect o Breach of contract o Breach of professional standard of care • Coordination with engineering, construction, environmental, and cost experts • Pre-litigation demand, negotiation, mediation, or alternative dispute resolution • Drafting and filing pleadings in New Jersey Superior Court and/or federal court • Discovery management, depositions, expert discovery, and motion practice • Trial preparation and trial representation • Appellate representation, if required • Regular reporting to TWW and the City of Trenton regarding litigation status, strategy, risk, and costs
