Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Newark Board of Education seeks proposals from high-quality instructional material and program providers who can support educators in the effective delivery of standards-based, mathematics curricular resources for (A) Kindergarten through Grade Five Mathematics Core Curricular, (B) Mathematics Applications (High School Course) Instructional Materials, and (C) Discrete Mathematics (High School Course) Instructional Materials. Materials do not include school supplies (e.g. paper or pens) or art supplies (e.g. paint, canvas). There are 42 elementary schools with approximately 2,900 students and 160 teachers per grade level, kindergarten through grade five. There are 17 high school with, on average, one section (25 students, 1 teacher) each of Discrete Mathematics and Math Applications per school.
