1. Collaborate with Rowan’s Online Learning team to develop a strategy for scaling services to design and develop 75 new online asynchronous general education undergraduate courses over a two-year period. a. Estimated timeline: 18 months. Course development cycles are 16 weeks long. Estimated vendor workload is approximately 18 to 19 courses per cycle. i. Spring 2026: 19 courses ii. Summer 2026: 19 courses iii. Fall 2026: 19 courses iv. Spring 2027: 18 courses 2. The vendor will operate as an extension of Rowan’s existing team and work directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as assigned. Rowan University will provide all SMEs. 3. Engage in a pre-implementation program planning consultation prior to engaging in new course development. Estimated timeline: first 60 to 90 days of contract. 4. Assist SMEs with the development of course maps designed to outline course structure, align key assessments with course learning outcomes, and estimate instructional time. 5. Build course in alignment with course map and plans in Canvas LMS. a. SMEs are responsible for content creation. b. Instructional Designers build out the course using SME content adhering to Rowan’s design standards and course templates. c. Rowan Online intends to use its in-house Digital Media Production services to develop lecture content for the online courses in this project. 6. All courses must be reviewed and approved by the Rowan Online leadership team to ensure compliance with Rowan’s quality assurance processes. 7. Support the initial course offering in collaboration with the SME when course is offered in term immediately following build completion and while this contact is in effect. 8. Manage each course project to ensure delivery of a final, completed course on time and that meets Rowan University's prescribed internal requirements, along with Federal, State, and Accrediting body requirements. 9. Provide Rowan University with daily metrics and data regarding project progress for each course. Rowan leverages the ClickUp system, which is our place of record for all project management and progress reporting. a. Provide regular project status reports for a mutually agreed-upon cadence and schedule that include data about the work accomplished, milestones achieved, and any challenges encountered. b. Vendors may propose to use their own internal system but will be required to supply Rowan University with daily project progress data that will sync with our collected metrics and KPIs. c. In addition, if a Vendor chooses to use their own internal system, they must export and transmit the data in a way that can be ingested into Rowan’s systems for processing in a manner that requires nominal effort, if any, for the purposes of data collection and synchronization. 10. Recommendations and insights on the use of generative AI tools in instructional design to enhance productivity for instruction designers and SMEs.
