General Intent The Contractor shall provide on an “as needed” basis all labor, equipment, material, transportation, etc., required to provide trunk line cleaning and inspection services on an “as needed” basis to the locations of the Rahway Valley Sewerage Authority (“Authority”) as specified herein (Interceptor Sewer Line System). The Authority collection system includes sanitary sewers in easements and three inverted siphons. Sewer diameters range from 12 inch to 72 inch in diameter. The Contractor shall provide on an “as needed” basis all labor, equipment, material, transportation, etc., to remove varying quantities of debris, grease, roots and sludge from sanitary sewers and to inspect and evaluate the integrity of sanitary sewers. The Contractor will be required to provide, upon notice, operators, equipment and field supervision, utilizing vacuum sewer cleaning machines, power water jet machines and/or closed-circuit television, and recording system to accomplish the above. The Authority will provide 48 hours’ notice unless emergency conditions dictate otherwise.
