The City of Passaic is seeking professional geese control services for two locations; Third Ward Park and Pulaski Park. • Daily service shall be for 52 weeks commencing on April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2026. • Daily service shall be provided a minimum of twice per day, seven days per week, rain or shine, dawn till dusk at variable hours during the day. • Must service the entire site for both sites on each visit. • Call-back work shall be performed within two (2) hours on an as-needed basis when notified by the Recreation Department with handlers’ cell phone numbers so that area supervisors can contact handlers directly for callbacks. Failure to respond to callbacks shall be considered noncompliance with the terms of this contract and shall be grounds for termination of the contract. Call-back work will be charged at an additional rate to the base monthly contract cost. • Dogs must be able to perform their techniques both on land and in the water. Dogs must enter the water if commanded to do so by the handler. The vendor shall determine the number of dogs to be used, a minimum of one dog per park, based on the size of the area and number of geese to be controlled. • Vendor must be able to provide documentation to educate and inform both the public and/or press about the environmentally safe harassment and humane techniques being used. • Radio controlled boats and handler occupied kayaks may be used if deemed necessary by vendor. The Recreation Department shall be notified prior to the use of these devices. There shall be no additional charge for these services. • Vendor must have experience with environmentally friendly harassment techniques for control of Canada Geese with properly trained dog handlers and dogs and have necessary support staff and equipment to provide required service. The contractor must complete the attached Appendix A Operating Plan, listing employees, vehicles, equipment, dogs and an operating plan that explains the contractor’s ability to provide specified services to the Recreation Department while maintaining other existing contracts
