The following two shapes of recycling containers in the gallon sizes listed for each are covered in this bid proposal: 1. 14 US gallon Rectangular Recycling Container 2. 20 US gallon Heavy Duty Cylindrical Recycling Container All recycling containers are not to show any evidence of cracking, splitting, breaking or other distresses after 4 hours of exposure at a temperature of ten (10) degrees Fahrenheit. The containers are to be self-supporting with no appreciable slump or sag after four (4) hours of exposure at a temperature of one hundred fifty (150) degrees Fahrenheit. 1.1 14 US GALLON RECTANGULAR CONTAINERS AND OPTIONAL LIDS The containers are to be constructed of a molded plastic manufactured with a minimum of 20% postconsumer recycled plastic material in accordance with USEPA’s Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines. The interior surface is to be smooth and free of obstructions which could cause recyclables to become trapped or entangled. The containers are to have a design utilizing an offset ridge so that the containers can be stacked when empty. Two (2) handles of a comfort grip design are to be molded into the container sidewalls as an integral part of the container. Bottom hand-hold handles, or a similar design of molded grip are to be included in the base to facilitate emptying contents. The containers are to be molded in the standard commercial color of blue.
