It is the intent of the Joint Meeting to solicit Qualification Statements from Respondents that have expertise in the provision of legal services – General Counsel. Firms and/or persons responding to this RFQ shall be able to demonstrate that they will have the continuing capabilities to perform these services: a. General legal services as requested by the Joint Meeting including (i) preparation or review of resolutions to be adopted by the Joint Meeting; (ii) general representation of the Joint Meeting in all matters, including, but not limited to, litigation, employment and labor matters, condemnations, public procurements, construction and bidding activities, joint projects with other public entities, environmental compliance and contracting; (iii) legal advice on an as needed basis. 7 b. Attendance at regular, special and emergency meetings of the Joint Meeting, as required; c. Attendance at all other meetings that the Joint Meeting or its Executive Director deem necessary; d. Prepare legal opinions or legal memorandum as requested by the Joint Meeting or its Executive Director including, but not limited to, monthly counsel reports. e. Review of all correspondence referred by the Joint Meeting or its Executive Director, and preparation of correspondence on behalf of the Joint Meeting, if requested.
