a. Remove breaker from cell, clean breaker and cell and inspect for damage, defects, arc damage and insulation deterioration. b. Check bushings, porcelain and finger cluster discoloration, poorly mated contacts, etc. c. Remove arc boxes and inspect for broken, chipped or cracked splitter grids or ceramics and thoroughly clean. d. Check contacts for proper alignment and pressure. Adjust as necessary. e. Inspect all current carrying parts for signs of overheating, discoloration, pitting and wear. f. Check and inspect all operating mechanisms for cracks, friction wear, etc. and remove all hardened lubricants and relubricate as required. g. Check all auxiliary switches and internal wiring for proper operation and tighten all connections. h. Check manual and electrical close, latch, and trip operation to include, closing coil, trip coil, shock absorbers, bumpers, position indicators, key lockouts, etc. i. Check all capacitor trip, shut trip and reverse current trip devices (if used). j. Prepare complete detailed written report noting any deficiency.
