The SCLC requires the services of a specific subscription electronic database that can provide a variety of digital magazines and newspapers to SCLC and all of its branch libraries. The successful vendor will: Provide access to an electronic resource with with: No limits on concurrent users or total views. Current and (limited) back issues of thousands of newspapers and magazines covering a wide variety of subjects from around the world. User interface that allows searching, browsing, and interactive paging of full digital editions. Ability for personalization of interface by user, tailored to interests, location, and language preference. Availability of language translation for multiple languages. A fully functioning app for mobile devices. Provide the SCLC with administrative rights (not administered by an outside agent.) Perform all troubleshooting of problems. Provide the SCLC with easily available usage reports. Provide patron authentication at the vendor’s site in order to allow remote access to the database. Provide onsite or online training for library employees, as needed. Provide instructions, handouts, manuals and marketing materials that enable the library to promote the product. Provide excellent customer service. Have a successful track record with SCLC and other large public libraries in the country. Accept the vouchering system and payment timetable of the SCLC. Additionally, the Library is interested in the Digital Print Replica editions of the New York Times and The Economist.
