2.1 The services included under this contract shall include the removal of deer carcasses from the roadway pavement, adjoining turf medians, shoulder areas all within the public right-of-way and other property by 5:00 PM on the calendar day following the request. 2.2 All work shall be completed during the daylight hours. 2.3 Contractors shall not remove deer carcasses from any area deemed private property due to personal and public liability. 2.4 The carcass shall be immediately taken to a disposal facility licensed to receive carcasses. 2.5 The contractor shall comply with any and all disposal regulations in effect during the term of this contract. 2.6 All licensing and permits are the responsibility of the contractor. No additional compensation shall be made for failure to obtain required permits. 2.7 The contractor shall notify the County, in writing, as to which disposal facility they will be using. Notification must be made to the County within 48 hours of any change in the source of disposal facility. 2.8 The contractor shall maintain a daily log of all activities that occur within the context of this contract. 2.9 Invoices for carcass removal shall be submitted on a monthly basis. The invoice shall be based on the number of carcasses removed multiplied by the cost per carcass stated herein. There shall be no additional cost submitted to the County or participating co-op members. 2.10 Records of each month’s activities shall be presented whenever requested by the County or participating co-op members. 2.11 The log shall include details of occurrences when the contractor is dispatched to locations where no services can be performed.
