Vendors must be able to provide all Forestry and horticultural Service which are typically provided by a New Jersey State licensed Arborist or Landscape Architect, including but not limited to the following general services: • To provide Professional Conservation Agent to the Township of Old Bridge for protection of trees, forest and horticultural resources • To provide forestry and horticultural expertise to, and be supplemental for, existing Township departments such as Environmental Commission, Planning/Zoning, Tax Assessor, Engineering, Public Works, Construction, and Code Enforcement • To provide supervision to all Township programs regarding trees, forestry and horticultural resources • To provide vegetation and preservation reports upon request • To provide assistance for establishment of new Township forestry and horticultural resource programs • To provide technical assistance for ordinance and land use code revisions • To provide, through application, for Tree City USA status • To provide a Community Forestry Management Plan • To explore and apply for grants for Township tree related projects • All services will be performed upon request by the Business Administrator and after obtaining a signed purchase order. SCOPE OF SERVICES • Apply, interpret, and enforce provisions of Township Ordinance and assess fees • Participate in Township meetings, Planning and Zoning site plan review, site walk through and pre-constructing meetings as requested • Establish tree protection criteria for each site prior to approval for development and monitor site progress • Establish responsibilities of developer before, during, and after construction • Provide expertise for arboricultural services and contracts to the private sector • Provide specifications and/or supervision for all township tree plantings • Provide reports, appraisals, and tree evaluations for any litigation or legal action • Identify, design, and implement supplemental funding sources without the use of taxpayer money • Attend monthly of Shade Tree Advisory Committee (if established) • Submit written reports as requested
