COAH Attorney will provide representation to the City and the Office of Economic and Community Development at meetings and in litigation, including but not limited to, preparation of pleadings, motions, and discovery documents pertaining to complex affordable housing issues. The following are some general examples of the services that fall under COAH Counsel: 1. Provide guidance on affordable housing regulations and requirements. 2. Ensure that the city’s affordable housing plans meet state and local regulations. 3. Draft and review legal documents related to affordable housing projects. 4. Represent the city in COAH-related hearings and proceedings. 5. Help develop and implement policies for affordable housing. 6. Handle legal aspects of any appeals or disputes related to affordable housing decisions.
