Specifications include, but are not limited to: Sample ballots shall be a facsimile of the ES&S ExpressVote XL Voting Machine as supplied by County Clerk’s office (scale used must be approved by the County Clerk). If the vendor wishes to submit a sample of scale, they may do so as an attachment to the price quotation. Instructions for voting are to be included on the sample ballot, as well as any additional information provided by the County Clerk’s office. Sample ballots shall be 50 pound white paper (or as acceptable by County Clerk’s office). Polling location is to be enclosed in a red boxed area. Sample ballots shall be proofed and approved by County Clerk’s office prior to printing. Fifteen (15) samples each election district (in town and district order) are to be delivered to the County Clerk’s office two weeks prior to the Election Day. Delivery of sample ballots to mailing service (Universal Mailing Service Inc.) shall be on or before twelve o’clock noon on Wednesday preceding the start of the early voting period. Although size may vary, base your proposal on the size of the sample ballot being approximately 11” x 17”.
