Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.0 CHASSIS SPECIFICATIONS: The Ford E450 Shuttle Bus or equal chassis will have a GVWR of 14,500 Lbs. 1.1 5,000-pound maximum front GAWR Twin I-Beam IFS; 9,600-pound maximum Dana Full Floating Rear Axle 1.2 The engine will be a 7.3L V-8 gas with 350 HP @4250 RPM/420lb-ft. torque@ 3250 RPM. 1.3 6-speed automatic transmission 1.4 Brake system to be powered, self-adjusting, four-wheel disc with four-wheel anti-lock. 1.5 Single fuel tank with a maximum capacity of 55 gallons, located aft of the rear axle. The vehicle fuel tank must be installed by the chassis manufacturer; fully compliant with California Air Resources Board (CARB) standards and must not be modified in any way. The fuel cap will be tethered to the body of the vehicle. 1.6 Chassis must be stretched to a minimum 190" wheelbase. 1.7 Exhaust system to be aluminized exhaust pipes and muffler properly installed with heat shields` and baffles. The exhaust tailpipe shall exit to the street side of the bus behind the rear wheels. 1.8 240-amp OEM alternator will be supplied. 1.9 Dual batteries rated at 650 CCA minimum each. Both batteries will be located in a stainless-steel battery box with a slide-out tray for easy access to the batteries. 1.9 A master disconnect switch shall be installed in the driver’s step well to turn off power to the body and all its accessories. 1.10 (6) LT225/75Rx16E tires with 16.0x6, white steel wheels will be provided. 1.11 Both inner rear wheels will have valve stem extensions installed for easier tire inflation. 1.12 A LARGE heavy-duty anti-slip driver running board will be included with perforated holes to prevent snow and ice build-up. 1.13 Mud flaps will be installed behind both front wheels of the bus in addition to two large rear mud flaps.
