Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Credentials: The animal control contractor shall employ only licensed Animal Control Officers in accordance with Animal Cruelty Investigators as required by N.J.S.A. 4:19-15b. 2. Animal Control personnel shall be offered rabies pre-exposure vaccine. 3. Animal Control services shall be available to Hillsborough Township residents on a 24 hour per day-7 days per week basis. 4. The Animal Control Officer shall proactively canvass the municipality for the purpose of picking up and confining dogs running loose within the borders of Hillsborough Township under N.J.S.A. 4:19-15.16. 5. At least one ACO shall be available at all times to Hillsborough Township residents who can respond to a request within 20 minutes or less. 6. At least 2 ACOs shall be available to Hillsborough Township residents during regular business hours, who can respond within 20 minutes or less.
