Exterior • Size: 8’ x 20’ • Two (2) entrance door 36” x 80”, fully gasketed with door stop and deadbolt lock. • Remove original swing doors, replace with steel wall and have 1 door on that newly fabricated end (front). • 2nd door can be on either long side (20’ side). • Door should be heavy duty steel. • All exterior and interior seems to be caulked. • Shelter constructed with exterior of steel, aluminum, or fiberglass. • Finished appearance of white or pre-approved color weatherproof exterior paint. • Insulated and weatherproof. • Must have one (1) safety glass window covered with protective grate. • Roof must be reinforced and surrounded by safety railing with an access point. Roof railings shall meet Federal Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements. Interior • Must have finished walls, ceiling and flooring. • Flooring to be commercial grade solid or vinyl tile. • Temperature controlled throughout the yearto maintain 70-80ºF with a removable 24,000 BTU air conditioning unit and electric baseboard heat. • Lighting will be two (2) multi-lamp fluorescent ceiling fixtures with a wall switch Electrical requirements Shelter shall be equipped for electrical service and include a 100-amp, 120/240-volt single phase circuit breaker box with main disconnect and provisions for 16-20 breakers. Power should enter shelter via power mast. Must have a minimum of 12 interior 15-amp duplex outlets, and two (2) 20 amp, 115 outlets. Exterior of shelter should have four (4) weatherproof 15-amp outlets. All interior wiring should be covered in surface mounted raceway or conduit. Contractor shall secure all construction and building permits as per Chester Borough Construction office.
