MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS FOR MILLING OF BITUMINOUS CONCRETE Please circle yes or no. Contractor shall provide the milling machine with an Operator and any other personnel deemed necessary for a safe operation. Yes / No The Borough of Glassboro shall not be held liable for damages done to Milling equipment during operation. Yes / No Contractor agrees to load millings into Borough vehicles. Yes / No All millings will be hauled / removed with Borough of Glassboro trucks, by Borough Employees, are the properties of the Borough of Glassboro Yes / No Contractor agrees to meet the schedule, including the order or roads, set by the Borough of Glassboro’s Highway Superintendent whenever possible depending on weather and/or mechanical failure. The Borough has the right to change locations at any time. Yes / No Contractor agrees to meet at a location of the Borough’s choosing for the start of the day. If no location is given, Contractor will meet at the Highway facility – 125 Grove St. prior to mobilization to the day’s first project. Yes / No Contractor is to supply quotes based on full 8 hour day and an hourly rate for hours worked over 8 hours or partial day. Full 8 hour day is based on 8 hours, not necessarily length of roadway. At the Borough’s discretion, the Borough can schedule a 4 hour half day when necessary. Yes / No Contractor must supply their own water. Yes / No Maintenance, breakdowns, and end of day cleaning / loading are NOT included in the 8 hours. Yes / No In the case of a breakdown where only a partial day is completed, Contractor agrees to complete the remainder of the 8 hours the following day or as soon as possible within reason. If time permits, additional roads may be added the day of milling. Yes / No Regular milling hours are 7am to 3pm. In some cases, these hours may be extended in order to complete the road / job. Yes / No After the first road has been completed, mobilization to addition roads will be included in the 8 hours. Yes / No Milling machine must be of sufficient size that it is capable of milling at least 4500 square yards per 8 hour day on days when a single road is to be milled and no additional mobilization occurs.
