The work required shall include, but not be limited to: ▪ Inspect the controller/meter cabinet. Lubricate the locks. Check and advise if any repairs are required for cabinet door handles, gaskets and closure switches. ▪ Inspect the surrounding areas to all traffic signal equipment. The area is to be clear of branches, all brush, high grass, posted bills, trash, etc. Verify that no foliage blocks the minimum sight distance of 400 feet on all approaches to the intersection. Report any areas that need trimming to the Township. ▪ Inspect for missing or damaged transformer base doors. Report any base door issues to the Township. ▪ Inspect and report to the Township if any signals indications and pre-emption detectors require re-alignment with correct lane of traffic in conformance with the approved LTS/Electrical plan. This shall also include checking and adjusting the clearance of signal indications to ensure the minimum roadway clearance of 15’ 6” and a maximum of 19’ 0” clearance are met. ▪ Inspect and tighten anchor bolts and connecting hardware on all poles and cabinets as required. ▪ Check and verify the operation of all vehicle detection equipment, this shall include but not be limited to; inductive loops, camera, radar or microwave detection. All deficiencies shall be immediately reported to the Township. ▪ Visually inspect all signal indications for cleanliness. Any indication/lenses that require cleaning shall be cleaned. ▪ Inspect missing or damaged mast arm(s), pole mounted or pushbutton signs. Report to the Township as appropriate. ▪ Check radio frequency filter (RFI) and lightning arrestor. Advise the Township if repairs are needed to replace damaged or missing components with General Electric Lightning Arrestor GE "The Protector" Model 9 49115DC6002 2 Pole 3 wire, 175V per pole for 120/240 service or equal and the RFI with one equal to the existing.
