The café vendor will provide for food and beverage items in a non-cooking environment throughout the day. Hot food items prepared off site are allowed as well as light duty, warming accessories, coffee makers, etc. The café features indoor and outdoor eating areas. Proposals may be submitted to operate a retail café offering a wide range of food and beverage throughout the day on a daily basis to the public. To be profitable, the café should offer a variety of items ranging from snacks to light lunch, as well as seasonal items. The area behind the counter is approximately 8’ x 16’ with a 16’ x 24’ atrium eating area with six tables and sixteen café chairs and standup / stool counter. Configured service space can be negotiated. Offeror is responsible for providing all service and display counters, cash registers and preparation accessories. The Library is requesting proposals from qualified café vendors to enter into an exclusive agreement for the operation of a café at the Library. The café will provide beverages and high quality lite fare to Library customers and staff at moderate prices. A discount will be provided to CHPL staff (showing proper identification) in an amount of not less than 10%.
