The Contractor shall furnish services, equipment, and supplies for the removal of snow from roads and/or other locations throughout the Township of Berkeley Heights, as directed by the DPW Director. B. Assignments and Satisfactory Performance. The Contractor shall arrive at the Township with all vehicles ready to plow, (fueled up, fluids filled and plows in proper shape to operate) and report for plowing within one (1) hour after receiving a telephone call or message from the DPW Director or designee. The Contractor will accept such route or routes that may be assigned to be plowed and will perform all Services required in a manner satisfactory to the DPW Director and will carry out all directions and instructions given by him or her. C. Minimum Equipment. Whenever ordered to perform Services under the Contract, the Contractor shall supply all the following equipment, at a minimum, unless alternate equipment is expressly permitted by the DPW Director: Eleven (11) Pick up or Mason Dump Trucks – each of which must be ¾ Ton or 1 Ton with four-wheel drive, each equipped with a snowplow blade of at least eight foot (8) wide, with power angle plow and snow treaded tires.
