Specifications include, but are not limited to: Alterations to approximately 545 square feet of the existing Municipal Building occupied by the Police Department to accommodate the installation of two (2) new prefabricated steel detention cells and corridor assemblies welded in place. The project entails the demolition of an existing detention cell, with the associated finishes, fixtures and furniture and saw cutting `of the existing concrete slab on grade for plumbing piping. Alterations to the existing electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire suppression, fire detection, and mechanical systems are required for the detention cell installations. Alterations and additions to the existing fire detection, surveillance camera and access control systems.
