RFP-JA- Transportation of Bodies for Medical Examiner 2014 - Transportation of Bodies for Morris County Medical Examiner 2014

Summary of Specifications:
The Morris County Medical Examiner is charged with carrying out the Medical Examiner responsibilities for Morris, Sussex, and Warren Counties. A primary function and elementary part of this intricate operation is the timely transportation of the human remains to the morgue. In fact, these transportation services are critical to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens inhabiting this region. 

The purpose of this invitation is to solicit proposals for the hiring of contractors to remove deceased human remains from the site of death, within Morris, Sussex, and Warren Counties. The remains will be transported to Morristown Medical Center Morgue, Madison Avenue, Morristown, New Jersey. The intent of this solicitation is to identify those vendors whose proposal(s) is (are) most advantageous to the County, price and other factors considered. 

The Contract shall commence on or about May 1st, 2014 for a period of twelve (12) months. The County reserves the option to renew this contract for up to two (2) one-year terms under the same terms and conditions. 

The County of Morris reserves the right to award contracts to multiple vendors.
