Summary of Specifications:
The Morris County Department of Public Works, Division of Engineering seeks proposals from professional consulting firms (Consultant) to perform in-depth structural inspections, load capacity ratings, condition evaluations, underwater inspections where applicable, and make maintenance/repair recommendations for nine (9) railway bridges on three (3) Morris County (Owner) Morristown & Erie (Lessee) railway lines located in Mount Olive Township, Rockaway Borough, Rockaway Township, Roxbury Township, the Town of Dover, and Wharton Borough in the County of Morris, New Jersey. 

The objective is to perform and record in-depth field inspections, load rating capacities of railway bridges and underwater structures, and to recommend a comprehensive maintenance and repair schedule. The Consultant should provide cost estimates for any required repairs. Structure types include single and multiple spans, open and ballasted deck, thru span, steel girder, concrete slab and masonry arch. All services provided by the Consultant must be compatible with Morris County’s existing Bridge Management System (BMS) and with MicroSoft Access 2003.
