Summary of Specifications:
It is the desire of Morris County to replace the Chiller Plant and associated Electrical Control Panels as well as the Cooling Tower, (2) two Centrifugal Chillers, (2) two Roof Top Ventilators and (8) eight Roof Top Air Handler units at the above location with a more energy efficient system. The Consultant shall evaluate each piece of equipment to determine its load capacities and incorporate the results into the design and specification package. The Consultant shall note, and include with their design, all required coordination with the County’s existing “Front End” HVAC Control System (Carrier I-VU). All project coordination will be done through the Morris County Building and Grounds Division.
The Consultant shall, for the benefit of the County, monitor all phases and aspects of the construction to ensure conformance to the contract drawings and specifications and advise the County with regard to the same. Such services shall include special attention to, and strict monitoring of, the areas of the project’s schedule, budget, and conformance to contract drawings and specifications.
Since funds for this project are supplied through the Federal Government Energy Efficiency Block Grant (EECBG) program the successful consultant is required to obtain, or already have, a Dun and Bradstreet Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number, obtained at http://fedgov.dnb.com/webform and be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) System at www.ccr.gov/
The Project is to proceed within two (2) weeks after the issuance of a Notice to Proceed from the Morris County Purchasing Agent. All work required for preparation and advertisement of bid specifications shall be completed within ninety (90) calendar days after award of contract. It is anticipated that construction shall be completed within one hundred eighty (180) days after award of construction contract.
