Specifications include, but are not limited to: UNH IT Services is seeking proposals for Primary and DR iSCSI Storage Replacement. • Multiple tiers with tier technology for moving unused data to slower/cheaper storage o If a tiering array is recommended the highest performance tier of storage must be able to support the current highest performance workload of UNH applications • Sized for storage Growth and performance increases over time (These minimums allow for 20% growth from current arrays) o Minimum 100TB in Prod (For FY2019-2020) o Minimum of 50TB in DR (For FY2019-2020) o Increase to a minimum of 200TB in Prod (For FY2020-2021) o Increase to a minimum of 100TB in DR (For FY2020-2021) o Must be able to provide more than 80K sustained IOPS (For FY2019-2020) o Must be able to provide more than 100K sustained IOPS (For FY2020-2021) o 85% of IO coming from 17% of storage • Performance preferences for individual LUNs (QoS or noisy neighbor configuration tools) • Able to perform without noticeable latency with multiple types of simultaneous IO 4k/8k/16/X sized blocks, considering the Oracle DB transactional operations, data warehousing and VMware virtual machines IO • Active-Active controllers, for zero down time and maximum performance. • 10Gb or compatible fiber Ethernet connections using iSCSI (No fiber-channel) • The end of life of the array for a solution needs to be at least 7 years from the purchase date • Support for central logging / log aggregation through standard protocols • Real-time analytics is available for troubleshooting performance issues, down to the level of each individual LUN • HTML5 based management interface, Easy to use GUI, NO JAVA or FLASH based management software • Support all standard IT security protocols for network communication (i.e. recent deprecation of the protocols SSL2.0, SSL3.0, and TLS 1.0) • Current list of licensed storage features must have all of the features or comparable functionality for each feature listed o Multiple snapshots per LUN o Replication (Asynchronous/Synchronous) for individual LUN/Snapshot o Encryption at Rest o Multi-Tenancy o Data Progression o Dynamic Capacity o Data Reduction o Data Compression o Thin Provisioning
