Specifications include, but are not limited to: Literature searches and contextual, site specific, and comparative research; Preliminary and intensive, systematic and judgmental excavations to determine the existence, significance, nature and extent of deposits, and National Register of Historic Places eligibility of archaeological sites and associated above-ground resources; Data recovery operations; Laboratory analyses of excavated materials and comparative analyses of these materials; Preparation of the NH Archaeological Inventory Form, end of field letters, and reports for the Phase IA through III levels of investigations; Preparation of constraints mapping and writing of sections of environmental documents, including recommendations; and Preparation of interpretive signage and other mitigative activities, as required by state and federal agencies and regulations.
