Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Queen City Bridge Rehabilitation project will include, but is not limited to, the following work: 1,470 SY of concrete deck repairs; 6,410 SY of welded by torch membrane; 1,500 tons of pavement; Repairs to steel components of the truss, as well as, partial cleaning and painting; Additional concrete repairs to the abutments and piers; and Replacement of all of the expansion joints, concrete curb and sidewalk, bridge railing, pavement, and lighting fixtures, including wiring. Work will be completed using phase construction, maintaining one lane of traffic in each direction and pedestrian access at all times. Several nighttime closures are proposed to complete the needed steel repairs of the truss. Construction is anticipated to take two years to complete, with a winter shutdown. During the winter shutdown, traffic will be restored to two lanes in each direction.
