Specifications include, but are not limited to: Methane gas system supply from digester area
Fuel oil supply system from underground storage tanks
New boiler shall operate consistently at the minimum and maximum gas pressures provided by the
methane gas system. It is the responsibility of the vendor to confirm the design and operational capabilities
of the replacement boiler to assure uninterrupted service. Minimum reading observed on the gauge local
to the existing boiler when it is running is between 4” WC and 5”WC. Gage reading after the second safety
relief valve and before the burner when running is at 1”WC less (between 3” W and 4”WC). Gas supply
reading when unit is not running is typically between 10”WC to 11”WC at the gauge local to the existing
boiler (See Attachment A for the location of gauges).
New boiler shall be installed on the existing concrete pad (79”L by 75”W by 4”H) where the existing boiler is
Replace all associated valves, fitting, circulator pumps, expansion tank, safety relief valves, and confirm
there is adequate venting and air supply systems to complete the boiler installation.
Vendor shall provide start-up and testing of installed unit.
