This conceptual design phase is intended to advance important planning decisions needed to define the project scope, gain support from regional partners and support funding options. The goals and objectives of this report include: • Evaluate alternatives in Derry’s to convey Phase II flows. • Provide recommendations for the Phase II improvements in Derry. • Consider hydraulics and model the hydraulic alternatives. • Refine the hydraulic model as needed. • Consider the feasibility of the alternatives including land acquisition, preliminary environmental review, and coordination with NHDOT. • Consider Derry’s future upgrades and objectives as outlined in the Water Master Plan and Capital Improvement Plan. Phase II work will need to align with these Town plans. • Provide conceptual cost estimates for each alternative. • Evaluate alternatives including water quality, reliability, fire suppression, maintenance, and other non-cost considerations. • Summarize recommendations. • Address funding options for the projects. • Identify next steps.
