This project involves minor intersection modifications, pavement marking adjustments, signage revisions, and traffic signal modifications necessary to revise traffic flow directions on West Pearl Street and Factory Street to support the forthcoming Walnut Oval Intersection Improvement project. Specific improvements will include removal and paving of the southwest curb extension at the West Pearl Street and Walnut Street intersection to allow access to the east end of West Pearl Street, pavement marking and signage revisions on West Pearl Street and Factory Street, implementation of all-way stop control at Factory & Water Street intersection, and traffic signal and pavement marking modifications at the West Pearl Street & Main Street and Factory Street & Main Street intersections. Structural evaluation of the traffic signal mast arms on Main Street and potential replacement will also be required.
