The snow removal services required under this RFQ shall include, but not be limited to, the following: • Plowing: Clearing snow from all designated roadways, parking lots, driveways, and loading docks on the County Campus to ensure safe vehicular and pedestrian access. This includes addressing snow accumulation during and after snow events. • Sidewalk and Walkway Clearing: Clearing snow and ice from all sidewalks, walkways, pedestrian ramps, and building entrances on the County Campus to provide safe passage for pedestrians. This may require the use of snow blowers, shovels, and/or other appropriate equipment. • Salting/De-icing: Application of salt or other approved de-icing materials to all designated roadways, parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and walkways to prevent ice formation and ensure safe conditions. The Contractor shall specify the type of de-icing materials to be used. • Snow Stacking/Relocation (if required): Piling or relocating snow to designated areas on the County Campus as directed by the County. The Contractor should outline their capabilities for snow stacking and relocation if significant snow accumulation occurs. • Emergency Response: Availability for snow removal services outside of regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed due to significant snow events or hazardous conditions. The Contractor shall provide a clear point of contact for emergency dispatch. • Pre-Treatment (optional quote): Please provide a separate quote for pre-treatment services (application of anti-icing materials before a snow event) for roadways and parking lots. Service Requirements: Trigger Depth: Snow removal services shall be initiated when snow accumulation reaches 1 inch. On roadways and parking lots, sidewalks and walkways. Response Time: The Contractor shall provide an estimated response time from the commencement of a snow event to the start of snow removal operations on the County Campus. Equipment: The Contractor shall provide a list of equipment to be used for snow removal services on the County Campus, ensuring it is in good working order and adequate for the size and scope of the property. Insurance: The Contractor shall maintain adequate insurance coverage, including general liability and worker's compensation, 1 and provide proof of insurance upon request. Specific coverage amounts may be required by the County.
