Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Hampton, NH (Town), acting through its Town Manager for the Hampton Department of Public Works (DPW), in accordance with the provisions of New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated Chapter 37, Section 6 and the provisions of the Town’s Purchasing Policy and Purchasing Procedures Chapter 718 of the Hampton Code of Ordinances requests sealed written bid proposals from qualified Contractors for snow plowing equipment with operators for the snow plowing of Town roads and for the removal of the snow from the Town for the winter season of 2022-2023 on an as-needed basis. 1. Snow plowing of Town roads and parking lots, and for the removal of snow on an as needed basis. Services shall be provided at the Town’s request only. The award of the bid shall in no way guarantee any amount of work be provided by the Town to the Contractor(s) selected through the award process. 2. The selected Contractor(s) is to be on call twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week for the duration of the contract period as set forth in Section IV. 3. The DPW Highway Foreman or designee shall contact the selected Contractor(s) to inform them whenever their services are needed. The Contractor(s) shall be expected to have their personnel, vehicles and equipment deployed in Hampton in 60 minutes or less from the time of contact. Inadequate response time shall be grounds for termination of the contract. 4. Any and all equipment contracted for shall be dedicated to the Town for snow plowing and removal operations for the duration of the contract and must be staged at the DPW compound. 5. The quality of workmanship will be to the acceptance and satisfaction of the DPW Highway Foreman or designee, who will supervise all work hereunder. 6. The Town will identify to the selected Contractor(s) the routes and parking lots for the services of snow plowing and snow removal. Routes to be assigned upon award of bid. 7. Before any snow plowing and removal, the selected Contractor(s) shall familiarize themselves with the location of all in-ground obstructions to eliminate potential for damage. Any damage caused by Contractor’s operations shall be repaired immediately at the Contractor’s expense.
