Specifications include, but are not limited to: snow plowing/sanding/snow removal for our individual schools; 1. Snow Plowing is to start at 1 inch accumulation.; 2. All roadways and parking lots are to be fully cleared of snow no later than 6:30 AM.; 3. All roadways and parking lots are to be kept safe and passable at all times.; 4. Entrances and exits from buildings are to be kept clear of all snow and icy conditions at all times.; 5. Access to fuel tanks, propane tanks, flag poles, fire hydrants, and other equipment is to be kept open and clear of snow at all times.; 6. Snow removal is the responsibility of the contractor.; 7. Snow pile locations shall be approved by the School District .; 8. Contractor shall respond within one (1) hour of any call or request from the School District.; 9. All areas to be plowed shall be cleared to full width, radius of turn, and full size of parking areas.; 10. Wind rows/dribble is not allowed.; 11. Any and all damage resulting from snow plowing, sanding, and snow removal shall be the responsibility of the contractor.; 12. All labor, equipment, equipment repairs, material, and fuel shall be the responsibility of the contractor.; 13. All services performed shall be done in a skillful manner presenting no hazards to students, staff, or the public.; 14. Sanding and salting of all parking lots, roadways, entrances and exits shall be the responsibility of the contractor.; 15. Sanding and salting of all roadways, entrances and exits, and parking areas are the responsibility of the contractor.; 16. The contractor shall sand and salt as necessary to prevent icing conditions.; 17. The contractor shall cooperate with the School District’s representative to ensure that all contract work progresses in such a manner that does not conflict with the other School District activities.; 18. Sand to salt ratio shall be 3:1.; 19. It will be the responsibility of the awarded contractor to sweep up all excess sand/salt from the treated surfaces each spring, No later than May 1st, this includes any supplemental sand put down by the School District grounds crew in situations deemed necessary.
