Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful bidder(s) must; • Supply all equipment and labor required to maintain the parking lots awarded by this contract. • Have the ability to back drag plow areas without piling snow on curbs or walkways. • Remove snow with a bucket loader to minimize loss of parking spaces (where required) • Push banks back far enough to clear all parking areas. • Provide a 24-hour phone contact number direct to owner, manager or driver. This contact must not be an answering service. • Angle plow away from walkways to avoid leaving large piles of snow on walkways that can’t be removed with a snow blower. • Keep areas around dumpsters, fence openings and handicapped parking areas plowed and clear. • Maintain the drawing/plot plan of each building in their truck for reference. Plowing shall commence when the accumulation reaches two inches (2”) unless notified otherwise by a representative of the Public Works Department. Mechanical failure of the contractor’s machinery or equipment shall not relieve the contractor of responsibility for snow plowing designated sites. The City will not be responsible for repairs to the Contractors vehicles or equipment. The Contractor may be held accountable for the cost of repairs associated with damage to City or privately owned property caused by their personnel or others working under their direction.
