Bridge redecking projects will be completed one bridge at a time, and each bridge must be completed in one day. One bridge is 105’ x 12’, and the other two are 80’ x 12’. Scope of work for each bridge: Dismantle existing bridge decking and railings, load into dump trailers. Clean debris from steel undergirders, preventing debris from falling into Mascoma River. Sister new 2”x8” PT pine boards onto existing ties for deck joists. Install new 2”x12” PT pine boards oriented lengthwise for bridge decking. Install new railing to match existing railing. Install 2’x8’x3/4” PT plywood down center of decking for snowmobile tread protection. Install 3/8” compacted stone aprons on trail transitions to bridge ends. For each bridge project, contractor must supply a minimum of 2 laborers and 1 foreman who will also manage 12 volunteer laborers. City will provide all materials and one dump trailer and hauling services to the Lebanon landfill. The 105’ and one of the 80’ long bridges must be completed before October 15th, 2025 on dates mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and the City. The 3rd bridge 80’ long must be completed between October 15th and November 30th, 2025. Trail detours will be established by the City, and preference is for work to be conducted on Fridays with minimal disruption to rail trail users. Vehicle access to the job sites is available on the Northern Rail Trail, which will have temporary detours set up by the City for the day of each project. Power is available via generators.
