Specifications include, but are not limited to: Purpose The University System of New Hampshire (USNH), on behalf of The New Hampshire student newspaper and the Office of Student Affairs, is soliciting proposals for the printing of the University of New Hampshire student newspaper. Background The New Hampshire (TNH) is the University of New Hampshire's only student-run newspaper. It is published every week on Tuesdays and Fridays throughout the academic year. With a printed circulation of approximately 5,000, TNH is able to reach the Durham, Dover, Portsmouth, and Newmarket communities. The paper is free to students and community members through funding by UNH's Student Activity Fee, as well as paid advertisements. QUANTITY: 5000 copies each printing FREQUENCY: Issues are twice a week, Tuesday and Fridays, throughout Academic Year: late August through mid-May. Excludes Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, and summer months. See Attachment A: TNH Publication Dates Academic Year 2014-2015. (Dates will be provided annually to awarded vendor.) FILES TO PRINTER: Tuesdays and Fridays, early a.m., no later than 7:00 a.m. SIZE: Currently 24 x 16, folded to 12 x 16, with additional fold in half for distribution. NOTE: Resizing page dimensions to fit a vendors press capacities is NOT an option. NUMBER OF PAGES: 20 Average - May run as low/high as 12-28 pages. STOCK: Standard Newsprint INK: Black and color. Note: We require coated inks or inks that will not smudge/rub off easily COLOR: 12 pages per issue utilize colored ink: front, back and center pages. TNH may increase number of pages utilizing colored ink on occasion. INSERTS: Vendor needs to be able to accommodate inserts in both the Tuesday and Friday editions Vendor will need to supply specs (size, paperweight, thickness, cost per piece, catalogs, etc.) for inserts Vendor will be responsible for inserting minimum of 3500-5000 inserts each time. (Inserts are sporadic, average one to two inserts a semester, and/or could possibly run same insert once a week for four weeks.
