24.1. In responding to the bid invitation, the prospective Vendor shall address all requirements for information as outlined herein to provide a Prefabricated Bridge. 24.1.1. All structural steel of domestic origin. 24.1.2. Minimum 16' clear travel width between steel channel rails. 24.1.3. Capacity based on the following: 24.1.3.1. HL93 loading. 24.1.3.2. Six-axle/150 kip combination , with assumed configuration as follows: 24.1.3.2.1. Steer axle with I Ok, two drives each with 28k, and three trailer axles each with 28k. 24.1.3.2.2. Axle spacings are 0-14.25'-4'-35' -5'-5'. 24.1.3.3. No speed restriction [full impact loading]. 24.1.4. Includes allowance for the dead load of a future 3" asphalt overlay [byothers]. 24.1.5. Deflection may exceed AASHTO suggested values. 24.1.6. Pennsylvania PE stamped design letter of certification, drawings, and stringer/deck calculations. 24.1.7. Full dimension steel end plates [back-walls]. 24.1.8. Guardrail system meeting AASHTO 's maximum opening requirements for pedestrian guardrail, except with height increased to 54". 24.1.8.1. Rail system to utilize longitudinal steel rails[channels]. 24.1.8.2. Lowermost rail to be capped with a timber rub-rail. 24.1.9. Two coats epoxy primer /urethane topcoat in Architectural Brown or Hunter Green. 24.1.10. 56-mil waterproofing membrane on 4-mil carrier film, slit to overhang top flanges of stringers by 24.1.11. - 1/4" - ½" on either side, pre-installed on top flanges between steel and timber deck. 24.1.12. Treated, nail-laminated , 2"x6" SYP deck system. 24.1.13. All required fasteners and hardware for superstructure assembly and deck installation. 24.1.14. ½" neoprene bearing pads.
