Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University System of New Hampshire (hereafter referred to as USNH or Owner) representing a multidepartment project led by the University of New Hampshire (UNH) Department of Physics and Astronomy, is requesting proposals for a homogeneous high-performance computing cluster for the simulation of fluids, heliophysics, and astrophysical plasmas. The fluid and plasma simulations performed at UNH share very similar hardware requirements, making it possible to design an instrument with a high expected usage rate and broad scientific applications. The HPC cluster will handle a variety of non-GPU parallel code bases with modest memory requirements per core, running on up to hundreds of CPU cores and using MPI or MPI+OpenMP communication.
