1. Removal and Disposal o Safely remove all existing decking materials. o Dispose of all removed materials in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. 2. Structural Repairs o Inspect all structural support beams after decking removal. o Repair or replace any critical structural support beams that are damaged, weakened, or not in compliance with current safety standards. o Use structural-grade lumber or equivalent approved materials. 3. Decking Installation o Supply and install new minimum 2x6 pressure-treated lumber decking. o Install decking in accordance with industry’s best practices, manufacturer’s specifications, and applicable building codes. o Ensure a uniform, level, and secure walking surface. 4. Pedestrian Safety and Trail Closure Coordination o Provide a detailed work schedule, including the anticipated dates and times for trail closure. o Post advance public notices regarding trail closure at least 7 days prior to start of work. o Erect physical barriers and signage to prevent pedestrian access to the work zone during construction activities. 5. Labor and Materials o Provide all labor, equipment, tools, and materials required to complete the work.
