Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1: Project Management Task 2: Existing Conditions Analysis, and Future Scenarios Analysis Task 3: Public, Stakeholder and Agency Involvement • Analysis of available reports, studies, and publications needs to be addressed. • Public Communications and Public Outreach (a minimum of three (3) public meetings) o Extensive public outreach – Stakeholder Identification and Involvement Plan o Public meetings and community consensus building, (possibly organized by segments of corridor) including preparation of meeting materials and presentations o Direct outreach and surveys, including online stakeholder surveys o General Improvement District (GID)/ community/ neighborhood involvement o Public education/ communications strategy • Local agency coordination • Stakeholder involvement documentation and summarization of meeting and analysis of available information pertinent to this study Task 4: Develop and Evaluate Alternatives • Develop alternatives with specific options for meeting needs identified through Task 3 • Safety analysis relating to all modes • Access and through traffic management for: residential areas, businesses, and visitor access to recreational destinations and lodging. Consider the following: o US 50 Priority Hot Spot Options, analysis and recommendations, including: Spooner Summit (Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT) access/ crossing) SR 28 /US 50 intersection Cave Rock Boat Ramp Zephyr Cove Beach Warrior Way Round Hill Pines Elks Point Kahle Drive o US 50 corridor public transportation/ ridesharing analysis and options o US 50 bicycle, pedestrian, micro-mobility accommodation (e.g., special lanes, etc.) o Nevada Stateline-To-Stateline bikeway multi-use path initiative paralleling corridor (that may or may not be in the US 50 Right-of-Way) o US 50 Corridor recreational visitor parking needs assessment and plan Task 5: Development of Recommended Improvement Strategies • Plan elements and options • Short-term (including potentially low-cost projects which would be easy to implement) and longterm recommendations • Corridor performance impacts of recommendations
